The Ascent is a single-player or multiplayer action shooter RPG set in a cyberpunk world.

The mega-corporation you and everyone else belong to, The Ascent Group, has just collapsed.

Welcome to the urban environment of The Ascent Group, an autonomous, corporate-controlled metropolis that stretches high into the sky and is filled with creatures from across the galaxy. You play as a worker, a slave to the company you and everyone else in your area belong to. You carry out the tasks assigned to you, no matter how humble they may be. One day, while on a routine mission to use your skills with a cyberdeck, you suddenly get caught in a whirlwind of catastrophic events.

The Ascent Group, the planet’s largest mega-corporation, shuts down for unknown reasons, causing the collapse of automated security systems. The survival of your neighborhood is at risk: rival corporations are trying to take it over by force, and criminal syndicates are trying to boost the trade of enhancer implants on the black market. You must arm yourself to prevent them from taking control and embark on a new mission to uncover what started it all.
