Description
SuperEpic: The Entertainment War is a Metroidvania-style adventure with a humorous and satirical tone. It is a fast-paced, non-linear action-adventure game heavy on exploration and combo-based combat, starring a raccoon and a llama in their quest to save video games as we know them.
Set in a not-too-distant dystopian future, where a video game development company, RegnantCorp, controls an Orwellian society with exploitative, addictive, and brainwashing freemium video games.
Entering their headquarters, the heroes uncover the entire conspiracy as they explore a surreal, castle-like office filled with enemies, challenges, secrets, and corporate pigs.
- Economy-based upgrade system: earn money based on your performance in combat and decide how to invest it: in life, magic, or stamina?
- Multi-media experience: hidden QR codes launch small HTML5 mini-games that must be completed on mobile to reveal secrets in the game.
- Two game modes: a more classic story-based mode with handcrafted levels and a roguelike mode with procedurally generated maps.
- Solid progression: RPG-like weapon and armor upgrade system, with tons of items to collect and discover.
- Gorgeous Neogeo quality: 16/32-bit era cartoon sprites, with ultra-fluid animations and spectacular final bosses.
