Follow Mario on an epic paper adventure to collect the Crystal Stars before the X-Nauts!
The evil X-Nauts are hunting the treasure behind the Gate of a Thousand Years! With a map from Princess Peach and the help of some locals,
Mario travels through a colorful world made of paper to find them first.
To prevail in this quest, you will need to level up Mario and his friends,
master the timing and signal-based attacks to wow the audience on the battle stage and use all the abilities that come with being cursed – or rather, conveniently made of paper –
such as folding flat to cross large gaps or turning sideways to slide through narrow openings
Flip through a fairytale world with charming characters in every aspect
Surprises abound in this deep and compelling story, where everyone has something to say and it’s often not what you might expect. Mario will meet all kinds of interesting people on his journey,
such as the optimistic and studious Goombella and the shy but determined Koops. Some of these characters will need your help on their own missions or even join your party. Others, like Peach and Bowser, have their own stories to play out between Mario chapters!
The hunt for the Crystal Stars
After Princess Peach’s request for help with a treasure hunt, Mario heads to the town of Rogueport. But when she arrives, Peach is nowhere to be found! After learning about the legend of the Crystal Stars,
Mario sets out in search of these fabled treasures and hopes to spot Peach along the way. Of course, Mario isn’t the only one hoping to find the Crystal Stars – and this time it’s not just Bowser looking to cause trouble!
A paper world full of surprises
To find the Crystal Stars, you’ll have to break through the walls of Rogueport and see the world! All kinds of discoveries await you: a huge dragon hiding in a terrifying castle, a village cursed to be in perpetual semi-darkness,
daring detective work on a moving train and more!
The theater of battle
Spotted enemies during your travels? Face them in battle in serial mode, in front of an enthusiastic audience! You can use any kind of method to deal with the enemies,
including attacks you gain by equipping special Tokens and special moves that channel the power of Crystal Stars.

Twenty years after the original game for the Nintendo GameCube system, this version for the Nintendo Switch system has refreshed graphics and a number of additional changes that make the game easier than ever.
